A solid oak dining table and 6 matching chairs, in the style of Borge Mogensen's "Asserbo" set from the 1970s. We're unsure of the manufacturer, but it's almost certanly Scandinavian in origin, possibly 1970s-1980s. 
 
Once in a while we discover something incredible and this is certainly one of those times. Featuring a chunky oak table, largely rectangular with rounded edges to soften the look. There's 6 matching chairs, with matching chunky rounded solid oak frames, with stylish curved backs for added flair. 
 
The table has been fully refinished, regaining it's original golden glow and highlighting the superb oak wood pattern. The chairs have been cleaned up and are in typically vintage condition wih signs of wear consistent with age, however we've freshened the finish up a little and reupholstered the seats in a hard-wearing pale tweed fabric, chosen to mimic the Asserbo chair's original woven seat pads. 
 
It's a testament to the original design that this set still looks modern today, of course helped by the fresh upholstery! 
 
This is not only very stylish, but it's also extremely practical due to its solid oak construction, while the chairs are sturdy and wide, making them perfect for every day family life and comfortable too. 
 
Sets like this don't usually come up, especially at such a low price. This deserves to be the centrepiece of your dining space!
