A mid century Scandinavian style ceramic table lamp by Royal Doulton as part of their "sheerlite" range. It has been paired with a burnt orange-red fabric shade. 
 
The Sheerlite range was made by Royal Doulton in the 1960s and 1970s, and featured a range of different ceramic lamp bases with modernist, repeating patterns like this one. They came in a range of different colours. This crisp white example looks particularly fresh. The pattern is typically modernist and would go well with other mid century style decor. 
 
It's a really heavy, well made piece of decor.
