A vintage ceiling light fitting which we believe originates from French, likely dating from the 1980s.
It has a simple shape in keeping with similar designs from the late-mid century era. It has a fab feature to the underside consisting of clear plastic rings which would give an incredible effect when illumated. It's built using a mixture of lightweight metal and plastic elements.
We could imagine this as a feature above a dining table, or perhaps in a hallway or landing area.
The old wiring is in good condition, however has not been tested. It will also require mounting to the ceiling with a hook or chain. We strongly recommend that this work is done and certified by a professional electrician.
