Mid century pine dining set
A mid century modern pine wood dining set, made by Polish firm GFM in the early 1970s. This set features four chairs and a matching refectory style table.
The chairs are typically modernist, with subtle pine frames and a gently sculpted pine seat back. The table is a modernist take on the classic refectory style, and is of a compact size, perfect for smaller spaces.
Pine dining sets from this era are unusual and this is one of the nicest examples we’ve seen. Pine wood evokes nature, with a very expressive wood grain which is great for that Scandi look, and brings the outdoors in. Style this set with lots of natural earthy tones like green and pale brown.
