Pair of Mid century Clive Bacon "Jigsaw" chairs
A pair of beech modular chairs designed by Clive Bacon in the early 1960s. Nicknamed the jigsaw chair, as they were designed as conference chairs which could interlock to form large rows. This batch is likely to have been from a church as they have prayer book shelves to the back, as an alternative to traditional church pews.
The chairs won the Design Centre Award in 1963 and are held by the V&A as part of their furniture and woodwork collection.
A great example of innovative modernist design.
Price is PER PAIR.
