Reclaimed rustic oak table on chrome legs
A reclaimed solid oak table / desk mounted on sleek chrome legs, built using reclaimed materials in house by urbn nest.
Using a rustic piece of old reclaimed oak, which we believe originated from an old table, we created this sleek and modern table which would be ideal for compact dining or even a desk space.
The piece of oak was stripped back to bare wood and sanded smooth. It had been rough cut and we quite liked the more jagged, natural shape so we just smoothed this over so it was as soft to touch as the top surface. After treatment it was oiled several times before being lacqured for added protection and sheen.
We had some chrome legs which we salvaged from a damaged Danish dining table, which we knew would provide such a nice contrast with the golden oak. The wood grain looks amazing and would add some natural tones to any living space. It would go really well with more rustic interiors, as well as mid century or modern decor styles.
Dimensions
Height: 74.5cm
Width: 106cm

Condition
The oak has been stripped and refinished, however as with all more rustic pieces like this its charm is in its imperfections and mis-shapes so these are to be expected. The chrome legs are in good condition for their age.
