Set of 4 teak mid century dining chairs by Portwood
A set of 4 teak dining chairs, made by British firm Portwood Furniture in the 1970s.
These chairs have a distinctly retro 1970s look, with sleigh frames rather than the usual legs you'd expect on a dining chair. We love the curves on the chair frame and the ladderbacks to finish them off. The result is a really distinctive, unique design!
They have floating seat pads which have been relatively recently been reupholstered in a purple-brown leather to a high standard.
At the time of writing we also have the matching dining table in stock - contact us for more info.
The price also includes free shipping to most mainland UK locations as standard.

Condition
Good vintage condition with some age related wear (see photos). As can be the case with vintage pieces, one solitary historic hole was found in one of the wooden corner braces underneath one of the chairs. Although no signs of active woodworm were present upon inspection, all chairs from the batch have been treated with Rentokil Woodworm Killer solution as an extra precaution, and use in dry, centrally heated homes makes woodworm survival extremely unlikely.
