Vintage early 20th century Chinese vase

Vintage early 20th century Chinese vase

A vintage ceramic vase with hand painted symbol of "Longevity".

We don't know the maker of this and there are no identifiable markings. However, online research suggests that this originates from China in the early 20th century.

The glossy black finish contrasts well with the textured pale red markings to the front. Stylistically, it fits in well with scandinavian inspired design of the 60s and 70s.

The simple form and deep black colour would work well against a pale backdrop as a standout piece or styled with your other decor on shelves or a mantle.
