Vintage Gordon Russell desk / dining chair
A beech framed vintage desk / dining chair made by esteemed furniture maker Gordon Russell, probably in the 1980s.
These chairs - originally used as conference chairs in high end offices - were extremely expensive new and it’s easy to see why. Very comfortable seats with beautifully sculpted beech frames. Just look at that grain!
These are perfectly good to use now or you can pay an additional £40 and opt to get them refurbished in a new fabric prior to handover, just tell us what you want at checkout (actual fabric costs are excluded).
We’ve included some AI examples of different fabrics to demonstrate how good they could look - there are thousands available!
These would be incredible desk chairs or stylish dining chairs around the right dining table.

Refurbishment
Subject to final confirmation after an order is placed, refurbishment completion timeframes (excluding shipping) are likely to be as follows:
-
Refinishing - approx 4 weeks
-
Reupholstery - approx 8 weeks
For upholstery projects, fabric costs are always additional. We'd recommend Just Fabrics (search for FR to get the correct types of fabric) but you can use other suppliers, just make sure the fabrics are upholstery grade and fire retardant. You need to tell us what fabric you've chosen at checkout, and let us know whether you need us to order it on your behalf. Contact us if you’d like to discuss fabric prior to placing your order.
While we refurbish pieces to a high standard, expect minor signs of wear due to the age of the furniture. Please note that items specifically refurbished to order are non-refundable unless there’s significant transit damage or a discrepancy from the description.
